Johanna Nurmimaa (born May 11, 1962) is a Finnish actress and singer, best known as Paula Sievinen in the Finnish soap series Salatut elämät.[1] She has acted in Salatut elämät from year 2004. In the series she has three daughters, a son and a husband. In real life she has a husband and two children, Joona and Juuli.
Nurmimaa has also acted in theatre and appeared in operas, mostly in soubrette and light lyric soprano roles. Her opera credits include Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Despina in Cosi fan tutte, and both Papagena and Pamina in The Magic Flute. She has also dubbed many animated cartoons such as Snow White (Snow White), Pinocchio (Pinocchio), Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), The Rescuers (Miss Bianca) and The Little Mermaid (Princess Ariel). Although Finnish, she has also dubbed Princess Ariel in the Estonian version along with the Finnish version.[2] She chose not to reprise her role as Ariel in Finnish dub version of The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (neither Estonian), however, there were rumors she would dub Ariel again in The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning but it was proven false.[3] It is yet unknown will she dub Estonian.
